Had a brilliant day yesterday hunting the Harris hawks with Davie and Sophie .Tab did all the hard work with his ferrets, we had the exiting bit ,the birds flew well together and we saw some great flights. We got 5 rabbits probably would have got some more if i had not been chattering quite so much , lol ,but anyway it was a really good day cant wait to do it again.
Oh and i have now got my new harris hawk "H" who is a lovely little bird and Tab has got my big mean hunting machine so we all happy.I will get Sophie to show me how to put the photos on later today .
Tab is really good with his ferrets god no's how you understand what all those beeps mean though lol,it was even first time i had held ferrets and not been scared .Right enough of my ramblings, its all still new to me but i really understand now the enthusiasm for ferreting, which is something i dismissed as boring before ,prefering just to collect shot bodys before while out lamping. Right off to fly my new bird now.

Sounds like a good day mandy, ferreting is a great past time and alot of people sniff at it.

But i like to go out with my ferret's on there own alot of the time, take some nets or a long net and it's really great fun.

Look forward to the pictures.

Yes its Tab with the spade, he insisted on doing all the digging wouldnt let us touch his darling spade lol. Think he likes lying down with his arm in a rabbit hole cause he didnt let us do any of that either he just a real gentleman

yep everyone has theories on it and its very near a roman encampment but its believed to be just a lazy bit of sand quarrying only about 100 year old
