Re: DEMO PEREGRINES.
I know somebody that had a teircle pere that he rescued from a home where it was never flown, it was 11 when he got it and it was a brilliant display bird, used to fly between the crowd and really close to them etc.

Re: DEMO PEREGRINES.
never used one in displays Sean, but think they would be ok, they are smart looking little birds and the peregrine seams to hold a fascination with the general public
I have always found tiercels pleasant confiding little birds, but i know other people have different experiences with them

Re: DEMO PEREGRINES.
ive flown two in demos one was imprint the other pr
the imprint was very bad mannered and a bugger to hood.. however after alot of time few well ..the pr was better mannered and also flew ok..
they have no where near the demo capabitiys or speed of some of the hybrids ie perexsaker or perexlanners, but will do it when pushed
we found when training them to the lure that both turned almost instanty around in the air for another pass or even flip stright back over and wouldnt stay away from you.
we combated this by double luring for a good few weeks
neither where spectacular but both where good enough to perform to a sutable level for shows.

sophie im certain that any peregrine would be quicker than a lanner or saker hybrid. both of which are just a diluted version. it may well be the birds you had access to werent cut out for the job.
my friend has a male brittish pere (scottish my arse!!!) and the speed and sky that this bird covers is unreal. partridge that it hits look like they have been shot!!! my friend remarked " Seany my boy! theres nothing that can take partridge like a gentle!"
